Grilled Goat Cheese Spread

Directions

  1. Preheat barbecue to medium. In a bowl, mix together goat cheese, cream cheese, 1/2 cup (125 mL) peppers, chives and lemon zest. Spread remaining peppers on a plate. Scoop cheese mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap, pull up sides and press cheese mixture into a ball. Remove plastic wrap and roll cheese ball in peppers, pressing gently so they stick to the cheese.

  2. Place cheese ball on maple plank. Set plank in centre of grill, close barbecue lid and cook for 5 to 8 min., checking every few minutes that cheese holds its shape as it warms through.
