Grilled Turkey Meatballs on a Bun

Directions

  1. PREHEAT barbecue to medium. In a large bowl, add turkey, breadcrumbs, onions, garlic, salt and pepper and half the barbecue sauce and mix well. Shape mixture into 12 equal-size meatballs, about 11/4 in. (3 cm) each.

  2. GRILL meatballs, turning every 5 min., until cooked through, about 15 min. During the last 5 min. of cooking, glaze meatballs on all sides with remaining barbecue sauce. Serve 3 meatballs per bun with garnishes.

  3. NO BBQ? Preheat oven to 425 °F (220 °C). Arrange meatballs on a parchment paper-lined roasting pan and brush with remaining barbecue sauce. Roast until cooked through, about 15 to 20 min.

Tip

Make sure your meatballs are big enough so that they don’t fall through the grates.
